The purpose of this website is to provide support and answers for questions about the National Pediatric Readiness Project (NPRP) assessment. It is divided into two sections:
The first section addresses FAQs about the NPRP project and NPRP assessment. The second focuses on specific questions from the NPRP assessment instrument that we have received from stakeholders. We have provided additional context or points of clarification for these questions and will continue to add information as questions and answers become available.
It is important to remember that the NPRP assessment has been updated to reflect the 2018 guidelines from Pediatric Readiness in the Emergency Department. Please consult this document frequently when looking for answers to questions and work with your emergency department (ED) leadership to provide the most accurate information on the assessment for your ED.
Thank you for participating in this quality improvement initiative to help ensure the best care for ill or injured children in an emergency!
